Chelsea may offload winger Pedro Neto to Saudi side Al-Hilal this summer
A source says Chelsea is prepared to let Portuguese winger Pedro Neto join Al-Hilal, with the club looking to trim its oversized roster.
Gianluigi Longari reports that Al-Hilal are now a concrete option for Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, as the London club aims to streamline its bloated squad. With Estevao Willian entrenched on the right and promising youngster Geovany Quenda added, Chelsea can afford to consider letting the 26-year-old Portuguese international depart. Neto delivered ten goals and ten assists in the 2025/26 campaign, playing on both flanks and occasionally as a false nine, while staying largely injury-free.
Since joining in 2024, he helped the team win the FIFA Club World Cup and the Europa Conference League. Agent Jorge Mendes has allegedly offered Neto to Al-Hilal, a move that gained momentum after Malcolm's departure. The club is urged to cash in on the player to balance finances after a season of heavy spending.
Why it matters
Chelsea's potential sale of Neto could free wages and generate funds as the club reshapes its large squad.
