Chhattisgarh MP claims lemon ritual halted rain, Congress mocks the claim

At a gathering in Daundilohara where Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai was present for a Mahtari Vandan scheme, BJP MP Bhojraj Nag claimed that cutting a lemon and praying to Budhadev and Mahadev stopped the heavy rain affecting Balod district. He said the ritual allowed the event to continue successfully and invited the rain to return if it wished. A video of his remarks went viral, eliciting amusement from Sai and others on the stage and sparking criticism from anti-superstition groups.

Congress state president Deepak Baij ridiculed Nag's claim, urging him to try the same method on inflation and sugar prices. Social media users joined the mockery, asking whether the technique could also lower electricity bills and fuel costs.
