Chicago police probe death of infant found injured in West Ridge

Police are investigating the death of a 1-year-old girl discovered with injuries on West Rosemont Avenue in Chicago.

Authorities responded to a report of a wounded infant on the 2600 block of West Rosemont Avenue on Saturday morning. The child was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in critical condition, where she later died. Detectives from Area 3 are handling the investigation, and no cause of death has been released yet.
