After a brief period of inclement weather, the Chicago White Sox’s Pope Leo XIV night went ahead on Tuesday, attracting a massive crowd. Attendees lined up at the Rate Field entrances to receive a free White Sox-styled papal hat. The promotion, which had been planned for just 2,500 special-ticket fans, quickly grew to cover the whole venue, with attendance exceeding 41,000.
