Searches for Chichester rose 30 % year over year, placing it ahead of many well-known holiday spots and making it the top-ranked UK entry. The company points to the town’s blend of historic attractions, including a cathedral with a modern-art collection, a renowned theatre, and opportunities for sailing and cycling in the surrounding area.
The full list also features South Lake Tahoe (USA), Hyogo (Japan), Punta del Este (Uruguay), Sedona (USA), Busan (South Korea), Holbox (Mexico), Perugia (Italy), The Tweed (Australia) and Niagara-on-the-Lake (Canada). Expedia suggests Chichester is an appealing option for British stay-cations beyond the country’s more crowded tourist hubs.
