Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir reaffirms military resolve against terrorism in Peshawar

Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the Peshawar Corps headquarters, where he was briefed on the province’s security climate, current counter-terrorism missions and border control measures. He highlighted the high morale, readiness and professionalism of the troops and recognized their steadfast commitment to protecting the nation. Munir instructed the forces to maintain the highest standards of operational preparedness and stay vigilant.

He also paid tribute to the martyrs by placing a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada monument and offering a Fateha. The remarks underscore the military’s ongoing focus on defeating terrorism and ensuring enduring stability across the country.
