Chief of Defence Forces stresses peace and development in Balochistan during Quetta visit

Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison, reiterating that Balochistan's peace, prosperity and well-being are top priorities for the state.

Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Quetta on Saturday and was received by the Quetta Corps Commander. He was given a detailed overview of the province's security climate, operational readiness and ongoing counter-terrorism measures. Munir reaffirmed that ensuring peace, prosperity and the well-being of Balochistan's residents remains central to state policy, stressing that stability enables development and economic growth.

He commended the armed forces for their high standards of professionalism and dedication, and urged sustained cooperation among police, security agencies and other state bodies. The visit coincided with recent anti-terror operations that have targeted groups the military labels as Indian proxies and Fitna-al-Khawarij.
