Chief prosecutor to hold off comment until hearing Tejca, pledges adherence to legal principles
The head of the prosecutor's office said she will wait to comment until she can hear Tejca’s views and will not address the government’s criminal-policy plans in the media.
Spokesperson Petr Malý explained that the chief prosecutor, Bradáčová, will refrain from further remarks until she has the chance to interview Tejca and understand his proposals. She will not react to the government’s announced criminal-policy agenda or use the press to signal her stance. Nonetheless, she can reassure the public that prosecutors will always act in line with the rules of criminal procedure, the law, and the constitutional order.
