Police recorded statements from four witnesses after a 7-year-old boy fell from a 10th-floor flat in Taman Perling and died.

On Oct 23 in Taman Perling, Johor Baru, a 7-year-old boy named Mohammad Adib Rizqy Mohammad Fauzi fell from the 10th floor of his building after reportedly climbing a corridor wall with a bicycle while playing with other children. Residents discovered his body at 5.30 pm; he suffered severe head, hand and body injuries and was declared dead by a medical officer from Sultanah Aminah Hospital. A post-mortem performed the next morning confirmed the cause of death as multiple injuries from the fall, and the case has been classified as sudden death.

Acting Johor Baru Utara district police chief Superintendent Azrol Anuar Nor said four witnesses have been recorded and the investigation remains ongoing. He appealed to parents and guardians to closely supervise children and prevent play near windows, balconies, corridors or other elevated areas.
