Meanwhile, in Sudan, former pastors’ council secretary Emmanuel fled to Chad after a government body sought to control churches, but his son Daniel was detained in Khartoum in 2025 after a neighbor identified him as a relative.
Despite multiple court decisions declaring him innocent, Daniel remains incarcerated in Kobar Prison, reportedly because a Muslim man covets his wife and uses influence to keep him detained.
