Chipotle revives Pollo Asado with new recipe and introduces Chili Lime Chips

Chipotle announced the return of its Pollo Asado, this time featuring a newly developed recipe that grills adobo-marinated chicken with garlic, Mexican spices, cilantro and a citrus-lime glaze to add brightness while keeping the smoky base. The company also unveiled Chili Lime Chips, a side inspired by a viral trend of diners swapping forks for packaged chips to make “walking tacos.” Chief brand officer Fernando Machado said the chips were designed to be simple, free of artificial additives.

Senior vice president of culinary Nevielle Panthaky recommended pairing the chicken bowl with white rice, black beans, roasted chili-corn salsa, guacamole and the new chips for extra crunch. Chipotle Rewards members receive early access to the chips today, with a full launch planned for September 4.
