Christian Zionist group opens new West Bank visitor center to counter anti-Israel narratives

The Israel Guys inaugurated a visitor center in Har Bracha, West Bank, aiming to showcase everyday life and refute what they call anti-Israel propaganda.

A new visitor center opened in the West Bank town of Har Bracha under the auspices of The Israel Guys, a Christian Zionist group that has coordinated more than 5,000 volunteers from 35 nations over the past 20 years. CEO Joshua Waller argues the center offers a firsthand view of a flourishing biblical heartland, challenging what he describes as international propaganda labeling Jews in Judea and Samaria as dangerous settlers.

The nonprofit’s portfolio includes the Heartland Experience, Grape Harvest, Men’s Pruning, Zion Ops and short day tours, all designed to work alongside Israeli farmers. Founded by Tommy Waller in 2007 after meeting Har Bracha Winery founder Nir Lavi, the organization rebranded from HaYovel to The Israel Guys five years ago and now employs over 20 staff. Following the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack, it launched Operation Ittai, raising $3.85 million for tactical supplies and community defense. Waller also contends that Israel remains the safest place for Christians in the Middle East, citing a growing Christian population.

Why it matters

The center reflects ongoing efforts by faith-based groups to shape perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
