CID raids Jharkhand staff selection office as protest talks resume and hunger strike continues

On the 24th day of a recruitment-exam dispute in Jharkhand, the Criminal Investigation Department entered the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission office in Ranchi for a raid. The protest, led by the JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch, seeks a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into alleged irregularities and the scrapping of the JSSC-CGL examination. State officials have agreed to resume talks with the aggrieved candidates, though six of them continue a hunger strike.

In response, the government declared that the upcoming 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission exam and all backlog examinations will be cancelled.
