CIS September poll shows PSOE ahead but immigration concern drops amid Ceuta crisis

The Centre for Sociological Research's September barometer confirms the PSOE as the party with the highest voting intention, but its advantage over the PP has narrowed relative to earlier surveys. The PP shows a modest rise, Vox records a gain, Sumar falls to its poorest showing of the legislative period, and Podemos edges up slightly. Concern over immigration has receded, moving from the second to the third priority after housing and the economic downturn, according to respondents surveyed in early September.

The questionnaire also probed opinions on the Spain-Morocco border situation, asking about the importance of bilateral understanding and the influence of external actors, with a majority perceiving interference from countries such as the United States, Israel and others. Respondents also identified specific foreign leaders they believe are stirring tensions.
