CISF arrests man with concealed semi-solid substance at Delhi’s Jama Masjid Metro station

CISF officers detained a passenger at Delhi’s Jama Masjid Metro station after a dense object appeared on the X-ray screen and the man tried to flee. He claimed to be an NRI living in Kuala Lumpur and was handed over to police.

On Monday, Central Industrial Security Force personnel conducting baggage checks at Delhi’s Jama Masjid Metro station detected a dense, suspicious object on the X-ray imaging system. The individual, asserting he was an NRI based in Kuala Lumpur, tried to escape through an escalator, prompting a rapid response from CISF and a nearby CRPF officer who intercepted him at the exit gate. Surveillance footage captured the suspect speaking on his phone moments before the pursuit.
