CISF officer suspended after Delhi Metro passenger alleges unauthorized photo taking
A CISF security officer was suspended following a woman's claim that he photographed her on a Delhi Metro train, leading to an inquiry.
On Saturday night aboard a Delhi Metro train on the Yellow Line, a woman alleged that a CISF security officer captured her picture on his mobile device, causing a disturbance among fellow passengers. Video shared online depicts several commuters repeatedly urging the officer to erase the photos and some trying to grab his phone as he attempted to exit the coach. A senior police officer noted that the woman, who was with another female companion at Saket Metro station, later informed authorities she is currently outside Delhi and wishes no further action.
The CISF responded that an inquiry will be launched if the images were indeed taken and that the officer has been suspended on preliminary grounds. The episode raises concerns about potential abuse of authority by security personnel on public transport.
