CITY JAM founder unveils AI-driven accelerator for record labels and artists

Pat Villaceran, founder of CITY JAM, announced a new AI-focused accelerator and incubator designed to help record labels and independent musicians navigate emerging technologies.

CITY JAM’s founder Pat Villaceran introduced an AI-era accelerator that targets record labels and independent artists alike, using an incubator approach through the INDUSTRY.AIFF programme. Labels can apply the model to their own artist rosters, while solo musicians access support via CITY JAM’s artist programmes and CREATOR LABS. Villaceran highlighted the disconnect between creative work and the complex business tasks artists now face, such as distribution, publishing and data analytics.

The initiative seeks to reunite technology, education, community events and commercial partnerships under one roof, emphasizing real-world connections over algorithmic valuation. It treats each song as intellectual property that anchors a broader ecosystem involving publishers, agents, brands and venues. The goal is to give musicians the tools, knowledge and networks needed to build lasting careers in an AI-rich market.

Why it matters

It offers a coordinated support system that could help musicians turn creative work into sustainable businesses amid rapid AI advances.
