CJ CheilJedang debuts award-winning Jari Korean spirits at Manhattan venues

CJ CheilJedang is launching three premium Jari Korean distilled spirits in New York, beginning with events at the Moono restaurant.

CJ CheilJedang introduced its Jari line of Korean distilled spirits to the U.S. market with a launch in Manhattan. The debut features Jari Moonbaesool 24, Jari Gamuchi 24 and Jari Moonbaesool 41, presented at Moono alongside cocktail creations and Korean dishes. Gregory Yep, head of the company's Lifestyle Food Division, joined chef Hoyoung Kim of the Michelin-starred Jua and mixologist Hong Du, who also serves as the brand ambassador.

The three products received scores of 94 and 91 points at the International Wine & Spirit Competition and the International Spirits Challenge. A second event, K-Spirits X Jari Partners Day, will be held at Gui Steakhouse on Sept. 23, introducing four Korean distilleries to local restaurateurs and officials. The effort is part of the government-led Global Next K-Food Project, which supports overseas expansion for selected Korean food companies.

Why it matters

The launch aims to raise global awareness of Korean distilled spirits and expand South Korea's food-and-beverage exports.
