CJP founder backs Jharkhand students demanding probe into exam scandals

Hundreds of aspirants have been occupying Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi since July 29, demanding a central agency probe into alleged cheating in Jharkhand Public Service Commission and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission exams. They cite repeated paper leaks and claim that previous CID inquiries yielded no action, prompting calls for a CBI and Enforcement Directorate investigation and the introduction of a "not attempted" option on OMR sheets.

On Sunday, Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke used X to declare the party's solidarity with the students and their demands, which also call for Chief Minister Hemant Soren's resignation on moral grounds. Protesters marched in a torchlight procession to Albert Ekka Chowk, chanting slogans against the JMM-led alliance government and warning of a possible gherao at the state assembly if their concerns are ignored. The movement highlights frustration among youths, many from farming families, who seek merit-based recruitment opportunities.
