CJP leader clashes with police in Rajasthan school protest, cites minister's removal
CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka confronted Thanagazi SHO Mahavir Singh during a student protest over a collapsed school slab, claiming the Union education minister had been ousted.
In Jodhwas village, Alwar district, pupils protested the collapse of a roof slab at their government school, urging demolition of the dilapidated building and recruitment of teachers. Ashutosh Ranka, co-convenor of the Cockroach Janta Party, joined the demonstration, asserting that the Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan had been dismissed after a Jantar Mantar rally. He warned that the party would launch the biggest agitation in Rajasthan since Independence if repairs were not completed within three months, citing 84,000 unsafe classrooms affecting over 15 lakh children.
A heated confrontation with Thanagazi SHO Mahavir Singh ensued, during which a young man's shirt was ripped. Following the clash, district education officer Manoj Sharma and development officer Vikas Kumar pledged to meet the students’ five demands, including demolition of the unsafe structure, early teacher appointments, construction of a new building, bridge repairs, classroom fixes, and allocation of a playground.
