CJP leaders allege BJP thugs assaulted volunteers during school inspection in Rajasthan

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka say BJP supporters attacked their team while inspecting a government school in Rampura-Kanwarpura, injuring members and damaging vehicles.

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, claimed on X that BJP affiliates assaulted CJP volunteers during a school-inspection trip in the village of Rampura-Kanwarpura, Rajasthan. He said co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka and other members were beaten, their phones broken, vehicle windows smashed and a woman assaulted, while stone-pelting continued despite police presence. Ranka alleged that BJP workers were already on site and that the violence was pre-planned, linking it to education minister Madan Dilawar’s order on school inspections.

He demanded the culprits be arrested within 48 hours and warned that the protest would expand to target Dilawar if demands were ignored. The incident followed reports that villagers blocked the CJP team, stating they did not want the issue politicised and that a Rs 12 lakh allocation for the school was already approved. The villagers also accused the CJP of divisive politics and disrespect toward Lord Ram. The episode occurs amid the CJP’s “School Thik Karo” campaign, which seeks to highlight infrastructure deficiencies in Rajasthan’s public schools.

Why it matters

The clash highlights political tension and concerns over law-enforcement impartiality in Rajasthan’s education sector.
