Clay Matthews reveals prosthetic makeover for new Caesars Sportsbook commercial
Former Packers star Clay Matthews confirmed that his striking new look in a Caesars Sportsbook ad was created with makeup and prosthetics.
Clay Matthews used his X account to explain that the eye-catching transformation in his latest Caesars Sportsbook advertisement was the result of makeup and prosthetic work, not personal surgery. The ad, crafted by Oscar-nominated Legacy Effects, shows him with a deep cleft chin, bulging muscles, and a demonstration of the betting app, which he describes as "nipped and tucked" and barely recognizable. He noted that the concept was deliberately exaggerated and that the production team had a great time bringing it to life.
Matthews also reposted a TMZ photo of himself in a green sweatsuit taken the day before, labeling it "Gigaclay" with a muscle emoji. The former Green Bay Packers linebacker, who won a Super Bowl with the team and later played for the Los Angeles Rams, retired in 2019 after a career that included 91.5 sacks and 519 tackles.
