Clever Media finalises takeover of Doğan Media International, adding Kanal D assets

Clever Media, the owner of Prima TV and related channels, has signed a contract to purchase the entirety of Doğan Media International, the company behind Kanal D, Kanal D2 and Radio Impuls. Orlando Nicoară disclosed that the transaction will be executed through Romanian Content Project S.R.L. and involves agreements with Doğan Media Invest BV and DHI Investment. The acquisition expands Clever Media’s portfolio, which already includes 18 TV stations and several online platforms.

Kanal D currently leads the national daytime slot and ranks second in prime time. The deal remains subject to approval by the relevant authorities and fulfillment of contractual terms; until then, Doğan Media International will maintain its existing operations without interruption.
