CNAIR reports progress fixing TollRo issues after rocky launch
CNAIR says technical problems with the new TollRo toll system have been partially resolved and work continues to stabilise the platform.
After its launch on 1 October, the TollRo road-pricing system faced multiple technical setbacks, leading CNAIR to launch a remediation effort. The agency reports that payment-card failures and email-confirmation problems have been fixed, and the platform’s capacity was boosted to cope with high usage. Teams are still testing the system’s links to external databases, including those of RAR and DGPCI, and are addressing map-related and route-calculation bugs.
More than a thousand user support tickets have been recorded, and over half of them have been resolved. CNAIR assures drivers that no payments have been lost and that penalties will not be applied for transactions blocked by the glitches. The authority expects full stability within 72 hours and advises motorists to use only the official TollRo website and app while keeping transaction records.
Why it matters
Drivers need assurance that toll payments are reliable and that they won’t be penalised for system failures.
