Co-host Ana Navarro urges voters to back Democrat in Florida’s 27th district race

On a recent episode, Ana Navarro emphasized that she resides in the 27th congressional district of Florida and warned that the race between Republican Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar and Democrat Eliott Rodriguez is becoming competitive despite Salazar’s previous 20-point win. Navarro urged voters in areas such as Coral Gables, Miami, Key Biscayne and downtown Miami to cast their ballots for Rodriguez. The remarks sparked accusations of electioneering from figures like Ben Domenech, David Bozell and Tim Young, who suggested the comments could violate FCC regulations that exempt bona-fide news programs from equal-time requirements.
The FCC has been reviewing whether “The View” qualifies for that exemption. Neither one outlet nor the FCC responded to requests for comment.
