Coach April Ross Highlights Deep U.S. Women's Beach Volleyball Talent Ahead of LA Games

She highlighted the No. 1 pair Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss for their complementary size, power and defensive speed, describing them as possibly the best in the world. Ross also mentioned the promising partnership of Kelly Cheng and Megan Kraft, noting their chemistry and the mentorship benefit for the younger Kraft.

Additional contenders include Lexy Denaburg and Julia Donlin, who have posted strong finishes at recent championships, and returning player Taryn Cannon, who is recovering from a shoulder injury. Ross observed that twelve American teams entered a recent Operation Gold tournament in Switzerland, reflecting a robust development system that could produce multiple medal hopefuls.
