Colorado Buffaloes' 2026 season opens Thursday, no Week 0 game scheduled

Colorado's football team will wait until Thursday, Sept. 3 for its opening contest, traveling to Atlanta to meet the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, meaning there is no Week 0 appearance. Head coach Deion Sanders has largely overhauled the roster, potentially starting a new player at every defensive position, and has hired two new coordinators: offensive strategist Brennan Marion, the creator of the Go-Go offense and former Sacramento State head coach, and defensive leader Chris Marve.

Both coordinators have begun establishing their units' identities during fall camp ahead of the season opener.
