Colt Ford breaks shoulder after German tour bus crash, rescued through windshield

Country rapper Colt Ford fractured his shoulder when his tour bus flipped in Germany, requiring first responders to pull him out through the broken windshield.

Country-rap artist Colt Ford, 56, suffered a broken shoulder after his tour bus crashed into a ditch near Ballenstedt in central Germany, forcing emergency crews to remove him through a shattered windshield. He shared images of the wreck, noting that the crew escaped with only minor bruises. Ford was slated to perform at Tailgate X on Saturday, about 100 miles west of Berlin.

Fellow musicians Meghan Patrick, Jake Owen and Tracy Byrd posted messages of support on social media. The incident follows Ford’s 2024 heart attack at a Dierks Bentley concert in Gilbert, Arizona, after which he changed his diet, lost more than 60 pounds and announced upcoming U.S. shows, including a concert at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines on Aug. 19.
