Commission Recreates Defenestration, Says Multiple Attackers Likely Killed Mps Executive
The inquiry into David Rossi's 2013 death concluded it was a homicide involving several assailants, not a suicide.
A commission examining the 2013 death of David Rossi, the communications director of Mps, announced that the incident is being treated as murder rather than suicide. Chairman Gianluca Vinci presented reconstructions carried out with medical consultants Robbi Manghi and Marco Nigrisoli and lieutenant colonel Adolfo Gregori, which suggest Rossi was struck violently by multiple robust attackers, stayed conscious, and attempted to resist before being forced out of a window in his Siena office.
Simulations with one, two, or three perpetrators indicate he was held at the ledge and then fell, his arms raised. The panel also raised the possibility that the assault was intended as intimidation and highlighted links to large cash flows, local organized-crime groups, and disputed sponsorship deals, citing a phone record connecting Rossi to a number linked to the Grande Aracri clan. Additional testimonies from former Mps staff and a secret witness are being gathered to identify the perpetrators.
