Communications Minister urges Malaysians to treat mental health like physical health on World Mental Health Day
Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil called on the public to prioritize mental well-being and seek help when stressed, marking World Mental Health Day.
On World Mental Health Day, Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil posted a message urging citizens to place mental health on equal footing with physical health. He highlighted the pressures of work, family and daily routines, stressing that neglecting mental well-being can be harmful. Fahmi advised those who feel overburdened, exhausted or struggling alone to talk to someone they trust and to seek professional assistance if needed.
He also reassured the public that pausing for rest or personal space is acceptable and not something to feel guilty about. The call aims to raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental-health challenges in Malaysia.
