Community gathers to bury 14-year-old victim of Banga school shooting
A 14-year-old student killed in the September 18 shooting at Banga National High School was laid to rest on Saturday, as locals urged authorities to pursue justice.
The teenager, identified only as Dianne, was interred at Banga Holy Trinity Memorial Park more than two weeks after the attack that left three students dead, including the alleged 16-year-old shooter, and six injured. Family, classmates, teachers and members of the Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente attended the funeral. Speakers used the service to call on officials to investigate the incident and hold those responsible accountable.
