Congress launches door-to-door drive and marches to fix voter roll gaps

The Congress party announced a nationwide door-to-door campaign, marches and awareness meetings to address alleged errors and deletions in electoral rolls.

Congress alleges that large numbers of voters have been unjustly excluded from electoral lists due to widespread deletions and inconsistencies. To counter this, the party will launch a door-to-door outreach, hold public marches and conduct awareness meetings aimed at exposing the irregularities. Bharatsinh Solanki, a senior Congress figure and former Union minister, said the party intends to ensure every eligible citizen is registered by the end of December.

The initiative will be coordinated across multiple states, with volunteers visiting households and organizing rallies to inform voters of their rights. Congress hopes the campaign will pressure election authorities to rectify the roll errors before upcoming elections. The effort underscores the party's focus on safeguarding voting rights ahead of the next electoral cycle.
