Conservative TikTok creators allege systematic video removals before midterms
Several right-leaning TikTok influencers claim the platform has been repeatedly deleting and demonetising their content in the weeks leading up to the upcoming elections.
Conservative TikTok personalities including Chloe Trapanotto, Nate Friedman, Xaviaer DuRousseau and Avery Daye allege that the platform has been systematically removing and demonetising their videos ahead of the midterm elections. Trapanotto says about 80% of her uploads are flagged, while Friedman reports his documentary on an alleged "Islamic takeover of Manhattan" was pulled after reaching 1.5 million views. DuRousseau claims multiple videos were removed for alleged hate-speech, and Daye says she has repeatedly lost accounts despite growing large followings.
The creators jointly sent a letter to TikTok, citing a combined audience of more than 20 billion and accusing the algorithm of targeting conservative content. They reference a 2025 executive order by President Trump that allowed TikTok to continue operating under a new joint-venture structure, noting that conditions had briefly improved before deteriorating again. The platform has not responded to requests for comment.
