Construction firm Bygg & Betong Teknikk files for bankruptcy in Troms
Bygg & Betong Teknikk AS announced its own bankruptcy in the Nord-Troms and Senja district court, ending its operations in the Troms region.
Bygg & Betong Teknikk AS, a contractor providing concrete work and building construction in the Troms area since 2018, entered bankruptcy proceedings at the Nord-Troms and Senja district court after voluntarily filing for liquidation. All ongoing projects were finished before the filing and the four employees were dismissed, receiving final wages. Administrator Bjørn August Krane reported that the company is left with substantial debt and problematic receivables from several clients, and that attempts to recover these amounts with legal assistance have failed.
He also warned that additional liabilities may arise as claims are submitted and leasing companies enforce their contracts. The case underscores the challenging environment for smaller contractors in Troms, where a scarcity of new projects and slow municipal approvals have heightened financial strain, even as larger firms continue to operate.
