Construction on A3 Autostrada Chiribiș-Biharia segment reaches 78% completion
The Chiribiș-Biharia section of the A3 Transylvania motorway is now 78% finished, with bridge girders installed and the final asphalt layer about to be laid.
According to one outlet Company for Road Investment, the Chiribiș-Biharia portion of the A3 Transylvania highway has achieved a 78% execution level, surpassing the planned timeline. The update follows a site visit by CNIR Director Gabriel Budescu and Transport Ministry Secretary Horațiu Cosma, who confirmed that girders on every bridge and passage have been installed and that the final asphalt layer is set to begin. The construction consortium, led by Precon Transilvania with Citadina 98 as partner, has deployed a substantial crew and machinery to keep progress steady.
Work on related structures, such as the relocation of DN 19E and marginal parapets, is also reported as completed. The contractor anticipates opening the segment to traffic by December 2026, contingent on weather conditions, while the overall project aims for completion in mid-2027.
