Costco worker charged with murder after ramming coworker's motorcycle in Issaquah

Investigators allege that Tyler Sorensen, a 22-year-old Costco employee, deliberately drove his car into the path of coworker Jonathon Langdon, 20, on a motorcycle in Issaquah on July 31, resulting in Langdon’s fatal impact with a metal signpost. Court documents show Sorensen pursued Langdon after leaving the Costco parking lot, swerved into his lane, and then fled before returning with a relative to speak with police.

Sorensen told authorities he was enraged after witnessing Langdon hug a female coworker he believed to be his girlfriend, texting friends that his “blood is boiling.” The woman denied any romantic relationship with Sorensen and said he had previously crossed boundaries. Sorensen claimed he only wanted to “spook” Langdon and did not intend to hit him.

He has been charged with second-degree murder, while Issaquah Police Chief Steve Mylett offered sympathy to the victim’s loved ones. The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is handling the case.
