Country singer Charles Kelley announces multiple myeloma diagnosis and treatment plan

Charles Kelley, a member of the country group Lady A, shared a video on Instagram explaining that doctors diagnosed him with multiple myeloma after routine scans for random rib fractures detected cancer cells in his blood. He described the diagnosis as another hurdle and expressed confidence that the upcoming six-month treatment will not be overly invasive, allowing him to maintain his career. Kelley linked his outlook to his sobriety journey, noting the importance of taking things one day at a time.

He said his priority will be to stay happy, perform when possible, and spend as much time as he can with his family, including his wife Cassie. The announcement follows previous health challenges, such as a 2022 tour postponement for his sobriety treatment.
