Country star Justin Moore discloses benign neck growth that sparked fan worries

Justin Moore told Tracy Lawrence’s podcast that doctors found a harmless fatty lump on his neck, which caused a brief cancer scare and prevented surgery that could have harmed his voice.

During an appearance on Tracy Lawrence’s “TL’s Road House” podcast, Justin Moore revealed that doctors identified a fatty lump on his neck, which he first feared could be cancerous. The mass was classified as a benign lipoma, and surgeons cautioned that excising it could damage his vocal cords, leading the medical team to recommend leaving it untouched. The singer joked that the swelling makes him look like a 1980s linebacker, and his wife Kate humorously told him to stop complaining about a "fat neck."

Fans first raised eyebrows after seeing Moore open for Riley Green in Virginia, posting comments on TikTok about his altered appearance. Moore added that he had gone roughly ten years without a medical check-up until last year, a habit he attributes to his grandfathers’ tough-it-out attitude.

Fans learn the health issue behind Moore’s appearance and why surgery was avoided to protect his voice.
