Covina police shut down seven massage parlors in sex-trade sting

Covina officers raided seven massage businesses in the San Gabriel Valley, arresting a suspect in each location for alleged illegal sexual services.

Following a tip that a relative was being subjected to illegal sexual activity during massages, Covina police conducted a coordinated sting across the San Gabriel Valley. The raid targeted seven unregistered massage parlors, each of which was shut down after an employee allegedly agreed to perform sexual acts for money. Law enforcement officers entered the premises and placed a suspect in handcuffs at each location, totaling seven arrests for unlawful sexual behavior.

Police noted that the venues operated without official business names, relying on word-of-mouth to attract clients. The department announced that the cases are still under investigation and reiterated its dedication to ensuring compliance with the law. City partners were also cited as working with the police to maintain a safe environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.
