Crane from MMRDA site topples onto Kurla railway line, injuring ten
A crane operated by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority fell onto the overhead wires of the Kurla-Trombay rail line early Friday, leaving at least ten people injured.
Around 2.40 am near Qureshi Nagar in Kurla, a crane from an MMRDA construction area toppled onto the single-track section's overhead equipment. Central Railway reported ten injuries but no fatalities. The line, mainly used for freight, continued to operate without disruption. Railway officials placed responsibility for the mishap on the MMRDA.
