CreatorFi secures $45 million to fund creators with niche fanbases
CreatorFi announced a $45 million financing package to lend capital to creators earning revenue on platforms such as Roblox, TikTok and YouTube.
CreatorFi has closed a $45 million financing round to expand its lending to creators who monetize on services like Roblox, Spotify, TikTok and YouTube. The capital mix includes equity led by Escape Velocity, with Uncorrelated Ventures, Protagonist and investors from State Street, JPMorgan Chase and Periscope, plus a debt facility led by VerisFi Capital. The company provides loans from $500,000 up to $5 million, taking typically 50% of the creator’s platform revenue and requiring new IP output, sometimes even life-insurance coverage for high-risk founders.
Recipients so far include music label Coasthill IV, game developer Mythical Games, and YouTubers Lah Mike and The Danza Project. Founder Billy Huang highlighted the shift that now allows teenagers to launch profitable games from basements, while co-founder Jack Cameron said the deal signals market maturity for creator-driven businesses. CreatorFi differentiates itself from rivals like Spotter by financing across multiple platforms and offering ecosystem support such as cross-promotion for touring artists.
Why it matters
The financing gives emerging digital creators access to growth capital, potentially reshaping media production and investment models.
