Credit One Bank ends TV tie but vows continued NASCAR support

Credit One Bank will stop its long-running broadcast integration with NASCAR, yet the sponsor says it will keep investing in the sport.

Credit One Bank announced it will discontinue the “One Lap to Go” broadcast integration that has been a staple of NASCAR telecasts since 2016. Despite pulling back from the televised segment, the bank reaffirmed its dedication to the sport, promising continued financial backing and fan engagement. The partnership originally included a NASCAR-branded American Express card offering rewards to cardmembers.

Meanwhile, NASCAR is preparing for Avant to become the new official credit-card partner beginning in 2027, with plans for a co-branded card that provides fan perks such as All-Star status and early ticket access. Craig Stimmel, NASCAR’s senior vice president and chief commercial officer, said the Avant agreement will give fans additional ways to connect with the series. Although the familiar “Credit One, one to go” phrase will likely disappear from broadcasts, Credit One’s statements suggest it is not exiting the NASCAR ecosystem entirely.

Why it matters

Fans and investors need to know how major sponsorship shifts will affect NASCAR's funding and fan-reward programs.
