Criminal gang posing as police kidnaps driver on Catalonia's AP-7 highway

At approximately 19:30 on Saturday, five suspects dressed in black outfits resembling Policía Nacional uniforms, complete with reflective vests and “Policía” printed on the back, intercepted a vehicle traveling on the AP-7 between Montornès del Vallès and Vilanova del Vallès. They extracted a man whose face was covered in blood from the back of the car and compelled him to enter another vehicle. Several witnesses recorded the scene.

The Divisió d'Investigació Criminal of the Mossos launched an investigation and subsequently found the man at a separate location in Catalonia, where he was unharmed. Authorities are keeping the case open to determine the motive, which sources link to a rivalry between criminal groups. The incident highlights the danger of impersonating law-enforcement officers on public roads.
