Criterion Announces Blu-ray and 4K Release of Netflix's Hit 'KPop Demon Hunters'

Criterion has added Netflix’s breakout musical fantasy 'KPop Demon Hunters' to its catalog, offering a two-disc Blu-ray set priced at $39.95 and a 4K UHD edition at $49.95, with pre-orders now available. The packaging showcases an anime-style illustration of the HUNTR/X protagonists alongside the blue supernatural tiger, Derpy. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and produced with Sony Pictures Animation, the film became the most streamed movie of 2025, won the Oscar for best animated feature, and saw its soundtrack dominate the Billboard 200 and Hot 100.

Its commercial success led to a unique dual-license toy partnership between rivals Mattel and Hasbro, spawning games and dolls this spring. A sequel is currently being developed by Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation, with the original directors returning. Fans can secure the Criterion edition now.
