Croatia introduces mandatory anchor pricing for all retailers and service providers

Starting next month, Croatian merchants must display an "anchor price" alongside current prices, showing the regular price from 10 September 2026.

Croatia will enforce a new pricing disclosure rule next month that obliges all retailers and registered service providers to show an a anchor at one outlet price. The anchor price represents the regular, non-discounted price that applied on 10 September 2026. The requirement spans a wide range of sectors, from grocery and clothing stores to restaurants, hair and beauty salons, car workshops and other craftsmen.

Any promotional material—leaflets, posters, digital ads or website listings—must also display the anchor price. Companies that already maintain a website must upload a daily price list in XML or CSV format by 08:00, while those without a site are exempt from creating one. Previously published lists must remain accessible for 30 days, and traders must retain proof of the 10 September anchor price for compliance.
