Crude oil tanker struck by unknown projectile near Oman's coast, crew unharmed

A crude oil tanker reported being hit by an unidentified projectile four nautical miles east of Oman, with all crew members safe and no immediate environmental damage.

The vessel's master notified authorities after the ship was struck by an unknown projectile close to Oman's shoreline. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations confirmed the incident and said the crew suffered no injuries. No oil spill or other environmental impact has been detected so far. Maritime officials have urged nearby vessels to proceed with heightened caution in the area.
