Curaçao clinches second Little League World Series title with dominant win

Curaçao captured its second Little League World Series championship, defeating Nevada 11-2 in the final.

Curaçao won its second Little League World Series title, beating Nevada 11-2 in the championship game. The victory ends a 22-year gap since their first title in 2004. Nevada took an early two-run lead, but Curaçao responded by tying the game in the third inning and then exploding for nine runs across the following three innings.

A dramatic moment occurred when Nevada loaded the bases in the sixth, yet the five-run deficit remained insurmountable. The island's performance solidified its reputation as a Little League powerhouse, making it only the second nation to win the title while wearing its country name on the uniform, joining Japan. Japan later won the consolation game against Ohio, 4-2.

Why it matters

The win highlights Curaçao's growing prominence in youth baseball on the global stage.
