Currys unveiled the results of its second annual Tech of the Year Awards, naming the best products in 14 categories ranging from AI assistants to kitchen gadgets. The judging panel, chaired by former Gadget Show host Ortis Deley, praised Google Gemini for its multimodal AI capabilities and highlighted Google Pixel’s Voice Translate as a breakthrough mobile AI feature. Samsung’s AI Motion Enhancer Pro earned the top entertainment AI award, while Meta’s Hands-Free AI won for connected-home innovation.
Additional winners included ASUS Zenbook DUO’s dual OLED screens, LG’s RGB Primary Color Pro TV and Sonos’s Multi-Room Audio system. The company said the awards help shoppers navigate a crowded market by spotlighting practical, high-performing technology.
