Czarzasty condemns President Nawrocki's constitutional overhaul, labels council members terrorists

At a Lewica gathering, Włodzimierz Czarzasty warned that the party will block President Karol Nawrocki’s plan to rewrite the constitution and called the members of the New Constitution Council terrorists.

Speaking at a Lewica meeting, Włodzimierz Czarzasty asserted that his party will prevent any amendment to the constitution that President Karol Nawrocki intends to introduce. He accused the president of seeking to concentrate the roles of king, marshal and prime minister, and said the New Constitution Council, appointed in May, consists of “terrorists.” Czarzasty highlighted that one outlet constitution, established by the people and Aleksander Kwaśniewski, has functioned without obstruction and should not be changed because it displeases one person.

He added that Lewica will not negotiate with those he described as terrorists and will not be forced to alter the charter. The council includes noted legal scholars such as Ryszard Piotrowski, Anna Łabno, Genowefa Grabowska, Barbara Piwnik, Małgorzata Manowska and Piotr Andrzejewski.
