Czech industry minister to meet Indian premier Modi on trade mission
Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček will travel to India to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss expanding Czech business presence.
Czech Industry and Trade Minister Karel Havlíček is set to lead a business delegation to India, where he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The mission, scheduled from Monday to Thursday, will visit Delhi, Bengalúra and Mumbai, and includes meetings with ministers of transport, aviation, defence and energy, as well as Indian business representatives. Havlíček said the delegation’s plane is full of entrepreneurs and that a business forum in Delhi will bring Czech and Indian counterparts together.
He highlighted opportunities for Czech companies in rail, aerospace, engineering and defence, noting that many contracts have already been preliminarily discussed. The delegation includes firms such as Škoda Transportation and covers a wide range of industries from digital technologies to environmental solutions. The visit is intended to deepen bilateral trade ties under the EU-India agreement.
